Greeting Locksmiths!
It's another month, and there are many updates to share!
The Unlock Community has been buzzing with activity, with contributors working across every facet of the DAO. Nothing happens without communication and collaboration, and the Unlock contributors are no exception. Between organizing more Steward activities, launching new DAO campaigns, and advancing initiatives to the next stage, there's a lot to stay up to date on, so let's get to it!
Governance Activity

Treasury Liquidity Management: 3 ETH Transfer to DAO Multisig for USDC Swap DAO Communications Steward
Another Governance update that has been a rollercoaster comes from the news that Tally decided to shut its doors. Our fearless lead dev, Julien, immediately responded by launching a new home-brewed Governance portal to host on our official website, a huge update in accessibility for DAO members. Then we received word that Tally has been sponsored to stay alive for the time being, so now we have a total of 3 possible interfaces for Governance! The Degov team has been hosting Unlock on their own portal for some time now, as well. Follow the discussion on the forums!
DAO Operations Updates
Protocol as a Service (concept — in development)
Anupa surfaced a tiered service model concept being developed:
Tier 1: Self-serve (current free protocol access)
Tier 2: Guided onboarding (DAO member walks you through setup)
Tier 3: White-glove delivery (DAO handles setup end-to-end for a fee)
Intended to generate DAO revenue and reinvest in campaigns. Details still being worked out; being integrated into the new index website redesign.
This is described as a concept under development, not a finalized or voted-on structure.
Website Redesign
New index website in progress. The Protocol as a Service structure is intended to be integrated into it. No launch date has yet been specified, but work is continuing.
Alternative DAO Call Timing
Recurring discussion: Julien cannot regularly attend Tuesday calls due to scheduling conflicts. Shifting the call time has been discussed but not resolved, as it will require agreement across the DAO.
Anupa raised the idea of adding an additional call slot to reach community members in Asian/Pacific time zones, supported by GA data showing active users in China, India, Singapore, Russia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and Iraq.
Marketing and Promotion Progress
Metopia Campaign — Results
The campaign ran through March 30. Key metrics shared by Ceci:
Participant count grew from 8 at launch to ~3,800 active participants
The number of active website users grew 134% during the campaign period
Notable new-country traction: China, Singapore, India — countries not previously targeted
Locks (smart contracts) deployed grew on Base, Polygon, Arbitrum; Gnosis is showing steady growth
Social media engagement increased — comments, replies, shares — not just follower count
Assessment from Stella and Ceci: Metopia outperformed previous marketing efforts (marketing agency, influencer campaigns, including RUMS). The team is exploring a Season 2, with a proposed focus on paid memberships/subscriptions as the learning objective, rather than basic protocol onboarding.
Celo Partnership
Three-party partnership in coordination: Unlock Protocol + Celo blockchain + Green Pill Dev Guild (Green Goods project).
Purpose: showcase how Unlock deployed on Celo can provide recognition/reputation infrastructure for real-world impact projects.
Green Goods (greengoods.app) is an impact reporting platform for regenerative communities (agroforestry, waste management, solar, education) using Ethereum attestations, Octant Vaults (endowments/yield), and Hypercerts for capital formation.
Unlock's role: NFT badges/locks as reputation and progression markers for contributors ("gardeners") in the Green Goods ecosystem.
Gozman — X (Twitter) Activity
Called out for doing "extremely awesome work" on the DAO's X account. Actively resharing, commenting, and supporting community tagging campaigns.
Community members with Unlock-related posts are encouraged to tag @UnlockProtocol so Gozman can amplify.
TikTok / LinkedIn
Jonathan is working on the Unlock TikTok.
New short-form video clips are being generated from weekly call recordings via Ceci's streaming workflow.

Community Activity
U Make Us — Anupa
Series launched (first episode featured the Steward Council).
Format: casual conversations with community builders, use-case focused. Goal: get people investing in, building on, and sharing their experiences with Unlock Protocol.
Two miniseries in development: one for builders, one for governance.
Short-form clips being cut from episodes for social media distribution.
Builder intake form live in Unlock Discord — community members can submit their project to be featured.
P2E Inferno — Danni
Retrospective impact analysis is available for review and will be featured in the next DAO Call
Quest access is fully powered by Unlock (bootcamps, quests, certifications)
Completion badges and prerequisite enforcement implemented
Fiat-to-key dual onboarding via native crypto + Paystack (Nigerian Naira) — designed as a template for other mobile money integrations (East Africa, M-Pesa, etc.)
Membership/subscription integration for recurring access
Learning modules that have users deploy on-chain as part of the curriculum
KF Media — WillT
18 educational certificates deployed on Base chain, covering the first half of promoted ambassadors in the TreeGens community.
Up to 100 certificates total planned; spread across networks still TBD.
Close to 40 educational certificates issued on Base as of the monthly roundup. Max will be 100 total.
WillT confirmed interest in connecting with EAS integration — already issued EAS certificates against learning content. The collaboration deepens!
As you can see, it's been a busy month for the Unlock Community! The next month has much in store for us as we continue to push forward with ongoing initiatives, organize new activities, and coordinate with other projects and teams to help build onchain ownership for digital communities. Stay tuned to Discord and our socials for ways to stay engaged and share your ideas with us!
Thanks for following along, fellow Locksmiths, and always remember:
Unlock isn't just a tool for access — it's a protocol for belonging.
Stay classy out there,
Trigs
