If you're wondering what is going on, there's a new voice in the Unlock community! I'm Trigs, and you may or may not have noticed me starting to elbow my way in around here. I started making waves in the Unlock community with my proposal draft for the Governance & Membership Steward role. If you're new to DAOs, sometimes these things take time, but as I onboard myself into the community, I have been taking on new responsibilities. Hosting the weekly DAO call and drafting this newsletter are my first steps into DAO contributorship, after cutting my teeth helping design the ambassador program. It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know the community and injecting myself into the leadership panel!
As we migrate through these changes, the DAO labors on with steady progress across multiple fronts; we tackled payment accessibility in South America, prepared for Devconnect, and advanced several community initiatives. Here's what happened across our weekly calls this month:
Development Updates
The launchpad now features improved navigation between events and collections, addressing a frequently requested UI enhancement
Julien has integrated AI tools into the development workflow, accelerating PR reviews and clearing backlogs more efficiently
Ongoing cleanup of GitHub repositories and database migrations, particularly important for the upcoming Scout Game collaboration
Plans underway to streamline treasury management by consolidating fees from all chains back to Base
DAO Operations Updates
Metopia proposal approved:

RUMS appearance:
First live appearance on Rise Up Morning Show generated positive feedback and shows potential for long-term collaboration with them, looking to utilize Unlock for their communityDevconnect preparations:

Finances & Resources
ApeBond campaign iteration:
With the vaults successfully providing a funding stream for the DAO, the proposal text for the next extension has been completed. We are awaiting onchain submission for next phase of liquidity building.Giveth verification achieved:
Successfully verified as a public good, and our project donors are now eligible for GiveBacksGitcoin round completed:
Gitcoin rounds closed, and we secured around 4k in funding thanks to our amazing community.
Base Batches participation:
Multiple community teams submitted hackathon entries, with three projects utilizing Unlock Protocol contracts.
Technology and Innovation
Scout Game progress:
The bug-bounty initiative is progressing toward active testing — coordination continues with DAO contributors to align it with Unlock’s QA and reward flows before wider rollout.Advent Calendar revised:
In a move to make December an inclusive community experience, last year's Advent Calendar plan was updated to a Metopia/Scout Game hybrid event with community rewards for year-end engagement across the entire DAO
